 Case doesn't stay shut Oct 02, 2009
This case occasionally springs open and allows the ipod to drop to the ground.
I thought it was great for the first month I used it - until one day it popped open as I was walking and my ipod dropped to the pavement.
I taped it shut, but the ipod fell out again about a week later.
I plan to get a soft case to go over it to hold it closed.
Other than that, it is an attractive case, and the clip works very nicely to hold it to your clothes.

Very nice case, but ... Oct 28, 2008
The case in and by itself should receive 4 stars or above.
However, Griffin made a big mistake in design. Although the case will allow docking just fine, it will NOT work with the Griffin iTrip(2006) model. I fail to understand why Griffin did not take into consideration compatibility with their own products. I have returned this case.

Looks good, durable shell, front frame piece not very strong Oct 20, 2008
I installed my case the moment I received my ipod. The front static film application when well for me. It is static, so if you trap a couple of dust particles, just wash the film with dish soap and water and reinstall...which is what I did. I used one of the plastic sheets that came off of the protective front film between the back of the ipod and case to help protect the back from getting scratched. The iclear looks good and fits well.
My only knock on this case is that I have dropped my ipod once since owning it and it fell 2 and a half, to three feet onto a low pile carpet floor...and out popped the ipod. The front frame piece is sleeker that the original touch design and in my opinion releases too easily. My ipod was not damaged landing on carpet, but I was hoping for more protection from a hard shell case. Griffin stated that their cases were not designed to protect from drops...only normal daily use. If I only cared about scratch protection I would have bought a soft silicon case. Now I have the seams taped together to help keep the case together if it's protection is ever needed again.

I bought this at Target, so psyched to find something to protect my new Touch. Well, after trying over and over again to get the screen protector on smoothly and without air bubbles (to no avail...and I'm careful and detail-oriented), I tried to pop off the belt clip attachment (it came attached) and the thing just broke into pieces! Not the case, but the mechanism of the clip itself. I did not exert a lot of pressure or man-handle it unnecessarily...nothing that wouldn't occur in normal use...but if you plan on using the clip, you might want to look elsewhere.

 Great Quallity and really protects Ipod touch 2g Oct 06, 2008
I got this case at Best Buy, this case is really great! It really protects the ipod touch. I have dropped my ipod touch on concrete floor numerous times, it doesn't break the case or the ipod. Plus the screen cover is amazing. When putting it on it goes on smooth. My ipod touch goes in the same pocket as my keys and after one weeks of use the screen has ZERO scratches on it. Its incredible! There is one thing that bugs me, its just sometimes little things get in between the case and ipod. But you can just pop off the case and clean it once a week. Also it has access to the charger, volume controls on side, and the lock/power button. Its a great product I highly recommend it to who ever wants to protect their ipod touch 2g from breaking or scratching.
